It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our slot on Saturday 4th at Hevy festival in Kent this weekend will be the last show CROCUS ever plays.
Over the last 5 years CROCUS has been a band of extreme highs and extreme lows and now we find ourselves being a band that is at a point where…
Sad day.. this band led the way in the creation of the scene here in Cornwall, alongside their brothers in Kasa. And to be honest, without Crocus I don’t think there would of been a scene down here at all.
I’ve seen this band countless times over the past 5 years and remember having my mind blown the first time I caught them- It was like nothing I’d ever seen before. So much intensity, so much passion. Greg rolling about on the floor, swinging from beams, dripping with blood, screaming like it was the only thing that mattered.
And this intensity has continued through the years- Crocus are the only band that have always left me wanting more when I see them live. Such tight musicianship that kept you second guessing. I’ve loved watching them grow and reading about their trips into Europe.
There’s definitely gonna be a large Crocus sized hole in Kernow.
But the phoenix will rise, and I understand new projects are already underway.
RIP Crocus.
